“Ackermann’s woman is not Dior’s woman and he is a designer talented in his own right and his woman exists in her own right. She has an urbanity to her - displayed in today’s stunning leather jackets that were some of the best we’ve seen this season: vampirical sharp collars and fins at their ends, folds of zips and lapels, tucks taming them into shape.

“It was exquisite, such beautiful silhouettes - those peplum jackets and high-wasited trousers. The beautiful coats - from a military style to city jackets,” pointed out Vogue’s Harriet Quick, highlighting the juxtaposition of shape and colour to work especially well. Ackermann is always great at taking a colour and breaking it down into its various shades and using this as the basis with which to build up his outfits - a petrol blue jacket over a navy blouse, another in grey this time beneath that.”
